36 holes set in 360 acres of Parkland & Woodland on the border of Kent & London
There are 36 holes of golf at Orpington Golf Centre, all parkland. Before it became a golf course in the 1970’s, parts of it were orchards. You will still find remnants of its past with fruit trees such as apples, pears, cherries and Kent Cobnuts as well as blackberry bushes, as you go around the courses.
The are 3 courses:
- Cray Valley 18-hole course, Par 70, 5670 yards, course index 67.9 and slope rating of 124
- Cray Valley 9-hole course, Par 32, 2056 yards, course index 30.1 and slope rating of 100
- Ruxley Park 9-hole course, Par 35, 2552 yards, course index 33.6 and slope rating of 118
Mytime Active own and run the site but all competitions and handicaps are organised by a separate entity known as Cray Valley Golf Club. There are 4 golf sections that organise a full range of competitions throughout the year; Gents, Ladies, Seniors and the 9-hole group. All sections welcome new players and will help you get a handicap if you do not already have one.
Cray Valley Golf Course is a public course owned, maintained, and operated by Mytime Active who are responsible for Tee Time availability, bookings, green fees, and catering facilities at the Orpington Golf Centre and can be contacted at mytimeactive.co.uk.
